HAPPY MONDAY!
It's been a while since I've done a post and many great things have happened along the way amongst graduating from the best three years at Birmingham City University - I've learnt so much and met the most amazing people. All I can say is, it's a new year and plenty of new opportunities ahead - you've just got to go out there and bust a gut! Push yourself for what you truly want to be doing in life.

Since New Designers 2014, I have been having a little break from design, ready to come back and push my collection for 2015, getting my Monochromatic Modifications out there. My passion for monochrome design is still going strong and I'm always on the look out for new designers and things in our everyday life to inspire me. I'm still regularly drawing and still truly love it! Back to drawing for hours on ends and the crippled hand makes a return! (you uni girls will know what I mean).

I have recently been announced as one of the Design Council's 70 'ONES TO WATCH' and I am thrilled to be a part of their anniversary celebrations and to be among such talented British design. You can take a look at the winners here: http://www.designcouncil.org.uk/ones-watch-winners
I am featured in the Everyday Living section.

I will be updating you all with new things I will be working on and my inspirations over the coming weeks and hope you all check in to have a read. I can't wait for a good snoop at all the prints at the fashion weeks over the coming month - endless envy and inspiration!

For now I will leave you with images of my Monochromatic Modifications Collection 2015:

Hope you all have a great week!

Sunday 22 June 2014

So I haven't done a post in a while with everything that's happened so I'm going to attempt to catch up with myself and fill you in on the crazy busy three weeks that have just happened...

The degree show was a hit, it was so nice to see so many people come and see all the work that was produced this year and the private view was the perfect way to celebrate all that we have achieved.

And then it happened... I was one of the lucky people chosen to exhibit at New Designers down in London... Never before have I cried at an email while being in Costa but that also happened haha!

The past few weeks have been full of highs and lows, tears of joy and tears of sadness but we did it!! We worked hard and we did well!!

I can't say how lucky I feel to have spent three years with such a lovely group of people who are also such amazing designers who have so much to offer!

Now with the New Designers set up starting tomorrow I am on my way to London.. The easiest way for me to explain the past 3 weeks is through pictures so here's a mini journey of what I've been up to...

Whilst I'm in London this week I will be posting about the show and all the fantastic work that's  going to be there... So I hope you're all enjoying the sun and be sure to check in :)

Monday 26 May 2014

Hi Everyone! This will be my last blog post before hand-in now but please stay tuned for Degree show images being uploaded in the next couple of weeks (or even better come down and have a look yourselves – we will be in the Parkside Building by Millennium Point week commencing 9th June everyday) it’s definitely recommended that you come along and see all the brilliant work coming from this years to-be graduates. The wonderful outcomes which complete their 4 month projects are phenomenal - so much talent!

Now, the home straight is in sight and there are only a few days left to get everything in order and ready to give in the mountain of work we have all worked so hard towards. In the past week I have been printing all my final pieces ready for degree show, mounting and all the other fun bits of finishing a project…. but I want to share with you some of my final pieces, inverted designs, visualization ideas, inspiration and my final wallpapers (which I am so so happy with)! ENJOY!

I think by Friday I am going to feel slightly lost after handing in all of this work which has been my life and soul for the past few months but don’t worry I’ll still be doodling and uploading my new creations for you all to have a look at :)

Wednesday 14 May 2014

The countdown is on... 2 and a half weeks to go until this whirlwind of which is my final major project will be over!! Scary to think how fast 3 years can go but I can honestly say I've thoroughly enjoyed it!

With the project drawing to a close, the stress is setting in... but Costa and the vending machines have kept us all fueled up for our 10 hour uni days - along with all the hilarious chatter we have around the second floor table!

My past few weeks have involved selecting my final pieces, grouping designs together, a couple of tears through exhaustion and frustration, and last but not least, having a go at doing photo-grams (my new favourite thing - so fun)!

Below are some images of what I've explained above :)

This week I am making up final boards and planning out my degree show (exciting stuff)! I'll check in again next week with more insanity, eating, designing, coffee drinking and hopefully be showing you how my project is looking as a whole (and if I've come up with a relevant doodling title yet haha).

Have a good week :)

Friday 2 May 2014

So, it's finally Friday and a 4 day weekend greets us (result!).. I hope you've all got something nice planned. I'll be celebrating a special birthday which I also designed the gift bag for, as shown below..

Other than that, this week, I've been gathering more inspiration for new designs (all digested with a lot of coffee and mornings writing todo lists)...

I've also been thinking about ideas for my graduate show and there are possibilities that I may be granted an exciting opportunity next week (but I'll keep you posted on that...). I have been pulling my designs together for my final pieces and will be printing these next week so will feature those in a post :) I am currently working on a new design and testing visualisations. The beginnings of my new double A3 piece below - I hope you like it! But for now, enjoy your weekend and I'll check in again next week :)

Monday 28 April 2014

Hiya everyone! Sorry I've been off the radar a little bit. It's been a busy couple of weeks, full of designing and creating new pieces to put toward my final collection (not complete without some Peanut Butter and Nutella on toast though).

It'd be rude not to share some of my favourite pieces so far, so below are some of the most time staking designs I have done and I absolutely love them - and hope you feel the same. All designs are completed with fine liners and a mind full of doodling material. I'm inspired daily by anything and everything, I love to explore!!

I'm currently working on Photoshop and Illustrator creating some colourful designs just to see how they look in comparison/alongside my monochrome pieces (illustrator is my new favourite program, I'm loving learning to use it).

Anyway, I'll keep you updated again this week and let you enjoy the slightly illusional feel of my designs :)
